MIQUEL RAMOS JOINS THE SEED FAMILY

Seed Music's portfolio of artists is expanded with the incorporation of Miquel Ramos, a young clarinetist outstanding in his generation for his excellent virtues as a performer and brilliant debuts with Catalan and European groups.

Ramos began studying clarinet at the Municipal School of Music of Premià de Mar and continued at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Badalona, with Xavier Castillo, and at the ESMuC with Josep Fuster. He has received advice from professionals such as Lorenzo Coppola and Vicent Alberola, and completed his training at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck with the help of international soloist Sabine Meyer, obtaining honorary enrollment and enjoying scholarships from the JONDE / BBVA and the Possehl Stipendium. He has played with the JONC, participated as an academic in the Philharmonisches Orchester Lübeck and is regularly invited as a clarinet soloist in orchestras such as the Festival Strings Luzern, Geneva Camerata, the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the OBC, the Philharmonisches Orchester Lübeck and the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, among others.

He is currently a member of the Spira Mirabilis project, with which he has had the opportunity to perform the classical repertoire with historical instruments, and of the renowned wind quintet. Azahar Ensemble, set of constant activity. In 2016 he made his debut as a soloist performing Carl Nielsen's concert with the Orquestra Camera Musicae at the Palau de la Música Catalana.

Ramos will play next June 20 at the Palau de la Música Catalana, within the Cycle Intèrprets Catalans, together with other Seed Music artists. In this quartet concert, completed by Joel Bardolet, Carles Marigó and Pau Codina, they will perform the Quartet for the end of time by Messiaen and two pieces by Philip Glass. Another of the projects he will face soon is the Quintet for clarinet in B minor op. 115 by Brahms, a work he prepares with the Lassus Quartett, a formation led by Joel Bardolet.

Welcome, Miquel!
