EMMA STRATTON:

SYNDESI

Product added to cart

The piano skill of Emma Stratton mixes virtuosity and musicality in equal parts, deserving a prominent place among the new talents of her generation. Stratton demonstrates a unique capacity to communicate, not often seen in a musician of her age; a fact that turns each of her live performances into an emotional journey conducted with mastery, respect, and a sense of familiarity with the listener.

With Syndesi (Seed Music, 2024), her debut album, the pianist from Emporda demonstrates her excellent technique, expressiveness and virtuosity through demanding works such as Beethoven's sonata, Gubaidulina's intense chacona, Liszt's canonical rhapsody and the shiny Allegro de concierto of Granados. The title of the disc means 'connection' in Greek, a concept with which the pianist feels particularly comfortable both because of the repertoire she has recorded and because of her way of understanding music and the world of interpretation.
