JOEL BARDOLET:

INTERTWINED PATHS

Product added to cart

Joel Bardolet (Vic, 1987) offers us a fresh vision, one that is very musical and with a point of fantasy in a context excessively grounded in orthodoxy. His criteria, which is solid, based on the teaching he received in Catalonia, Germany and Switzerland, suggests something interesting to come, a renewing effect. Works by Kurtág, Pärt, Trümpy, Pianelli and Oliu; they demonstrate that music written today is not so far from what we habitually look for as listeners, in spite of certain prejudices. An intense, high-flying artistic experience that -played live- captivates us through the vibration of the instruments and the silence of the space, and when collected on disc allows us to close ourselves up with the music, seeing ourselves reflected in the intimacy of the composer, note by note, breathing, becoming one with the performer as we follow the dance of his bow. The voice of the violin. A voice, his voice, which is exceptional.
