The book-disc includes comments by each of the composers available in both Catalan, Spanish and English.
The chamber ensemble consisting of Manuel Martínez, clarinet; Javier Vilaplana, clarinet; Martí Guasteví, bassetto horn and Alejandro Castillo, bass clarinet, will present the album soon in Barcelona (the venue and date will be announced soon, among other details of the tour Offertorium).
Innovation, fusion, interdisciplinarity and pedagogy are some of the concepts that best define the creative line of the Barcelona Clarinet Players (BCP). The BCP are a formation integrated into the Barcelona Municipal Band of great versatility and demand as demonstrated in Offertorium and, in fact, both in the previous works and in the various projects they carry out. This is the fourth album produced by the group, a fully contemporary album with the music of experienced Catalan composers established in the country such as Bernat Vivancos and Josep Maria Guix, and excellent composers of the moment such as Joan Magrané, Raquel García-Tomás and Carlos de Castellarnau.
The recording of this album took place at the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante in June 2017. Seed Music publishes the album in its Premium collection with sound and musical production by Santi Barguñó (Neu Records – N Music Production), design by Estudio Gerundio and photographs by Ana Madrid. The disc can be purchased online at Seed Music store.
