The trumpeter Mireia Farrés, OBC soloist, and pianist Mercè Hervada, a stable chamber duo, will release their first album with Seed Music at the end of 2019. The recording of this new album, by the renowned English producer Simon Kiln -specializing in trumpeters-, took place last July in the Sala Oriol Martorell of L'Auditori de Barcelona.

The album, which will be called Temperaments (SEED010), was born from the friendship and experience of Farrés and Hervada as a stable duet. With the collection of pieces, the duo wants to highlight their interpretive variety and uniqueness and link with four elements that somehow share and define them: fire, air, water and earth. The repertoire will include essential works for trumpet and piano by Honegger and Enesco, but also other works that fit (Hindemith, Peaslee, Bolter, Turrin and Ewazen). On the other hand, the inclusion of a commissioned work by the Catalan composer stands out Salvador Brotons, connoisseur of Farrés and Hervada. They will release "Vital Impulse".

Finally, we advance that the libretto of the disc will be complemented with an original poem of Manuel Forcano inspired by the music of Temperaments, which responds to the predilection of both performers for Forcano's poetry. The photographs on the album are signed by Noemí Elías.
