RESIDENCE OF THE TRIO FORTUNY IN THE ATLANTID OF VIC

He Trio Fortuny has been the guest training as a resident in the cycle Youth Classic 2019 organized by L'Atlàntida de Vic. The residency for musicians has been the novelty of this edition of the cycle. Thus, the Trio Fortuny offered a pedagogical activity and two concerts of different characteristics over three days (June 25, 26 and 27) in order to develop an exclusive project for the Clàssica Jove, which also this year was engaged in the figure of Franz Schubert.

The training offered first of all a Seminar focused on Schubert and led by the composer Joan Magrané. In the second part of the seminar, the musicians accompanied Magrané on stage to shell out the keys to the quintet "La truita" with live music.

On Wednesday, June 26, a free concert was held in St. Peter's Cathedral Square under the title "Night with the Fortuny Trio." The concert, broadcast live on El 9 TV, can be watched online here. The space, the repertoire and the success of the call reaffirmed the success of the proposal.

The residency culminated on Thursday 27 June with a concert at the Sala Joaquim Maideu in L'Atlàntida in Vic and a repertoire focused on the Quintet in A major op. 114 D. 667 Schubert's Trout. A magnificent closing for a residence that attracted young students, music lovers and the public of Osona, and which at the same time allowed the Trio Fortuny to consolidate its trajectory in one of its most direct environments and an enthusiastic equipment that still new projects like L'Atlàntida of Vic.

Unfortunately, pianist Marc Heredia, a member of the trio, was unable to attend the residency due to an accident that required him to rest and recover on those dates - in extremes. Fortunately, he will be active again soon to continue his piano activity. In the residence we had the collaboration of Enrique Bagaría and Paulina Dumanaite.
